Product quality & testing

What purity standard are Velox Peptides compounds?
All compounds are HPLC-tested to a minimum purity of ≥99%. The exact batch-verified purity is shown on each compound page and available on request.
Who carries out your testing?
Testing is carried out by independent third-party laboratory Janoshik Analytical. This keeps verification separate from the supplier so results are impartial. Learn more about the process in our guide to how peptides are tested.
What do HPLC and mass spectrometry confirm?
HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) measures the purity of a compound by separating and quantifying its components. Mass spectrometry confirms the molecular identity and weight. Together they verify that a batch matches its stated identity and purity.
Is a Certificate of Analysis available?
Yes. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and batch documentation are available on request. Previous batch records are archived in our CoA library.
Is batch documentation provided for each compound?
Yes. Every batch is third-party HPLC-verified and has its own documentation. The batch-verified purity is shown on the relevant compound page, and the underlying documentation is available on request and archived in the CoA library.

Research use & compliance

What are your products intended for?
All products are supplied strictly for in vitro research use only by qualified researchers. They are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, and not for diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of any condition. See our Research Use Policy.
Are your research peptides legal to buy in the UK?
All peptides are supplied strictly as research reagents for in vitro scientific research purposes only. They are not licensed medicines and are not for human consumption. For a fuller explanation of the legal framing, see our article on whether research peptides are legal in the UK.
Who is eligible to order?

Storage & handling

How should I store lyophilised peptides?
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides should be kept desiccated and protected from light, and stored cold. See our peptide storage and handling guide for full details, and the individual compound page for compound-specific notes.
How should I store reconstituted peptides?
Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, solutions should be kept refrigerated and protected from light. Storage times vary by compound, so always check the relevant compound page and our storage and handling guide.
What is bacteriostatic water and what is it for?
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing a small amount of preservative, used in the laboratory to reconstitute lyophilised compounds. For more detail, see our guide on bacteriostatic water explained.
How do I reconstitute a peptide?
Reconstitution involves adding a measured volume of bacteriostatic water to the lyophilised compound. To work out the volume for a target concentration, use our reconstitution calculator. Follow standard laboratory handling practice throughout.
What is the shelf life of your compounds?
Shelf life depends on the compound and on storage conditions. Lyophilised compounds kept correctly are generally more stable than reconstituted solutions. Refer to the individual compound page and our storage and handling guide for compound-specific guidance.
